Hey Yall! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with Us again on Our Front Porch. Always good to have You spend some time with Us! And time is sure flying by Yall. As I am writing this We have 16 days until Christmas Eve. And the Ranch is running in high gear Yall! We got most of the garland and bows up outside on the first floor this weekend. Shawn is going to put the rest on the second floor this coming weekend for Me.
We still have trees going up and I am going to try to post at least one on each blog for Yall to see. This sweet little tree stands in the Greeting Room or Foyer of the Ranch House. We have placed it there in memory of My Mother Eunice Elliott. It belonged to Her and was the only new tree She had ever had that I know of. She had wanted one for along time and so I told Her We would hit this sale at Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving and get one. Well low and behold the line for trees was shaped like a horse shoe and even though We got there early, We were near the end of it. Momma was so worried They were gonna run out of trees before We could get to the front. It just so happened a real sweet friend of mine (Scott Harper) was directly across from Us near the front of the line. We had been talking for about an hour before they even started handing out the trees. Well to make a long story shorter, When Scott got His tree, He got one for My Momma too. She was just so tickled. I will never forget that look on Her face. She used that tree for years and always love it. The Angels rescued My Momma from ovarian cancer in 2009. I put that tree up for Her for Her last Christmas. And She still had that same look on Her face as She did the first time We put it up. It is older now, the lights don’t work anymore and a couple of limbs have duct tape. But just like it did with Momma, it still brings a lot of Joy to Our Family.
