Good Morning Dear Front Porch Friends! So good to have You drop by and spend some time on the Porch with Us today! I was hoping You would come by.
I made a big pitcher of Sweet Tea, its in the frig and I just emptied and refilled the ice trays so We have plenty of Ice! You can help Yourself. Your always at Home here with Us.
I do hope You had a good week since We talked last. I have had a “too busy” week to say the very least. With My trying to make a living working outside of the Ranch, and squeezing in time for the Family and Chores there is just not much time left over for anything else. It feels like I am going non stop a lot of the time. I know a good many of Yall understand what I am talkin about there. I am sure You have to juggle Your schedule as well. I have been doing ALOT of Praying about that lately. I sure hope I get better at it. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done sometimes.
As I write this I realize its almost Dog Days….last week of July, all of August and the first week of September. Hottest and most humid part of the year. I can hear Granddaddy saying that little poem…
Dog days bright and clear
Indicate a good year;
But with gray clouds and rain,
We hope for better times in vain.
Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord your GOD who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
I think this is one of My very favorite verses. I can look back at all of the difficult times in My own life and see God’s touch and know He helped me thru it all. Through pain, sorrow, disappointment and anguish He was there. He has and does give Me courage to face the unexpected times in life. Times when I just feel swept away in the situation. GOD is always there.
Since I became a Pastor everyday has become a new learning experience. I believe the best sermons are lived not just preached. Everyday God has shown Me something new. Sometimes in My own life and sometimes in the lives of the people I meet. I hope to continue to share this wonderful experience with each of You. Thanks to all of You who have prayed for Us, written in and left such wonderful messages of encouragement by email, or on social media or in Our Prayer Basket. It means so much!
Well Yall I sure have enjoyed Our time on the Front Porch today! Sure hope You get a chance to come back and vist with Us again real soon. If You can find the time please write in and let Us know how Everyone is doing, We would sure love to hear from You! And tell Your Family that We said Hey!!
~Love from the Ranch~
