A New Dream….

Well look who is here!! Hey Yall!! We haven’t seen you for awhile. So glad You took some time to visit with Us here on Our Front Porch. Welcome to all Our new Visitors too. So glad to have You with Us today. Always extra good to see Yall! How has Your Family been? We hope Your work is going good and Life treating You well!

I got to tell Yall. Since I have been working outside of the Ranch I surely miss it all the time. I recon I miss the Farm Life with the Family and all the animals the most. Well Yall know how good God is!!! There is a little pond right outside the office where I work and when I first started there it was drying up. Well Sir We got all this rain and the pond filled back up. It is looking so good now. I like to look at it before I go in to start work. Its just so peaceful. Well a couple of days ago When I went to work, to My surprise, I counted 18 Canadian geese in the parking lot. They had been swimming in the pond! Oh they were so beautiful I wish You could have seen Them! It was such a unexpected Blessing! Even tho I can’t have My own geese and pond right now God sent Me these to let Me know everything was going to be alright. What a beautiful blessing it was!

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above.”

Speaking of gifts, its almost September and that is traditionally the time of year when I start working on making My Christmas gifts for Everyone. I really want to start working on my quilts again. I haven’t done much with them since I had My stroke back in January. I been wanting to try and do some crocheting too. I have an idea for some pretty little snowflakes for one of the Victorian Christmas trees this year. (Yes we still put up a Christmas tree in each room). Maybe this year we will do a Front Porch Friends Coffee Party Bible Study and Yall can come see them all.

Matthew 18:20 “Were there are two or three gathered in my name, there I am among them.”

Yall God keeps pulling Me toward this…Most of Yall have heard Me talk about the Ranch house. It was built in 1905. 11 foot ceilings and a fireplace in each room. It was built long before internet, computers, cell phones, television, public radio and even before electricity became popular in most households. I hear a lot of people talkin about “getting unplugged” for awhile. The Ranch has always been a sanctuary to Me and My Family and Friends. And Our little Town is just that… little. Not a lot of noise and commotion going on. I think this would be a great place where Folks could come and get back to the basics of life, gather Their thoughts and direction and to get closer to God.

1 Chronicles 28:10 “Take heed now, For God has chosen You to build a house for the Sanctuary. Be strong and do it,”

I have always been thinking of ways I could share the Ranch with Yall, that’s one reason I started this blog. And lately God has put this on My heart. God has blessed me so many times. I have thought of about a dozen different things We could do with the Ranch But I really like the idea of this unplugged Christian Gathering Place with Everyone gathering to share and grow in God’s Word. A place to reconnect with a much more peaceful and simpler time. This just seems Heaven sent to Me Yall. Maybe We could build a small Hall for music and fellowship and with some work and elbow grease even open up the Ranch House for small gatherings and some weekend retreats.
Folks could come visit the animals, fish in the pond when we get it dug, pick vegetables from the garden and relax and unwind in the courtyard. Eat homemade biscuits with honey and drink sweet tea on the Front Porch. Sit around the fire in the evenings and sleep under homemade quilts at night. A comforting place to just clear Your head and make the time to get closer to God.

Psalm 94:19 “When Anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.”

I think this is such a wonderful idea. Please join Me in praying about this. I know God will lead Us in the direction We need to follow for His plan. You know as much as We plan Our lives, God has a way of surprising You with unexpected things that will make You happier than You originally planned. That’s what You call God’s Will.

We sure have enjoyed Your visit with Us today on Our Front Porch. Yall be sure to come back and see Us again real soon. Drop Us a line at terri@tilluride.com and let us know how your doing. And please be sure to tell the Family We said Hey!

~Love from the Ranch~
