Happy Hallothankistmas Year

Well Hey there and a big welcome to You! So good to have You visiting today with Us on Our Front Porch! Always so glad to see Ya! I made some fresh lemonade this morning and I always got some sweet tea in the fridge. Help Yourself, You know Your always at Home here at the Ranch.
Hope Your week went by good. Ours flew by so fast. We all been looking forward to the long 3 day weekend together. Football and Sloppy Joe lead off on Our fun list of things for this Labor Day weekend.
Now Our chore list is just the least, tiny, little bit longer. We have a water pipe that busted going into the new pump in the well house that has to be fixed and we are still working on the yards. I wanted to get the backyard done so We can put up the new clothesline and since its September I wanted to go ahead and clean out the diary house too. And I can’t forget We still have to get to work on the chicken coop and get it finished. Always something to do.

Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

Jake has decided to start Him a little business of His own. My brother Gregg wanted Him to start a landscaping business with Him when He retired from the paper mill. He was just 1 year away from retiring when He passed. He had worked there 39 years.
Well Jake has decided to go ahead with the idea and Im gonna try and get Him some equipment to do it with. He has His pick up truck and My old wood trailer and I have a old riding lawnmower I am going to get runnin and fixed up for Him. I am saving up for Him a chainsaw. He is going to sell fire wood this Winter too. I am so proud of Him.

Ephesians 5:21 Be willing to help and care for each other because of Christ. By doing this you honor Christ.

I wanted to show Yall a picture of My poinsettia from last Christmas. It was used on the table at our Office Christmas party and one of the girls that worked in the office with Me had it on Her filing cabinet for the longest time. It started looking pitiful bad and She was getting ready to toss it in the trash when She asked Me if I wanted it. I had just had My stroke and gone back to work in February and I said yes. It gave me something to take care of, something to take My mind off how awful I felt Myself. What a blessing the little plant became to Me. God knew I needed something small to take care of, when I could barely take care of Myself.
Wont be long now till the holidays are here. Happy Hallothankistmas Year if You listen to all the hype from the big chain stores. They can’t get the stuff out quick enough to get You to buy it so They just put it out all at once hoping to make the most money out of whatever mood the customer is in. Kinda takes the “special” out of it. I was talking to a Friend of Mine just the other day about this.
Call Us old fashioned (and a lot 0f people do), at the Ranch, We like to take the holidays one at a time. Cause after all, We are just making Memories. And that’s the really important stuff. Its who Your with, Family and Friends, not what You get… that’s the good stuff, that’s the “special” We are all looking for.
And speaking of special… I wanna thank You for dropping in and visiting with Us some today! Always a real treat to get to spend this time with You. Come back and see Us again soon and tell the Family We said Hey!

~Love from the Ranch~
